Keith Orchison has been involved in resources and energy industry policy issues, as well as management and communications, for more than 32 years. Keith was chief executive of the upstream petroleum industry association, now called the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA), a position he held until 1991, Keith was also Chief Executive of the Electricity Supply Association of Australia, 1991-2003 as well as a member of the CSIRO energy advisory committees for six years and chair of its Energy Technology sector advisory committee in 1999-2001. He was a member of the Australian Industry Greenhouse Network for 10 years and chairman of AIGN in 2002; a member of the Howard Government’s Critical Infrastructure Advisory Council and he also chaired its energy committee, 2003-07; a trustee of the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia, and a member of the Federal Government’s energy white paper reference group in 2011.
