Corporate books, the compelling way to share your story

Our resident corporate storyteller, Jaqui Lane spent several months interviewing and researching the Aspen Medical 10th anniversary book, A decade of making a difference. From start-up to a global leader in innovative healthcare solutions.

Here at ArmstrongQ we help Australian companies tell their stories. A few years back we worked on the 10th anniversary book for Aspen Medical, an innovative healthcare solutions company based in Canberra.

We undertook the design and production of the book, a soft-cover publication of 92 pages, that captured the dynamic story of this private company into one of Australia’s leading specialist healthcare solutions companies.

It was an interesting project to work on as most of the story resided in the memories of the founders, Adrian Walker and Glenn Keys, as well as key staff, some of who have been with the company since its foundation.

In designing and producing the book we were conscious of the fact that it was going to be utilised as a marketing and promotional tool for the company in the Middle East. This meant careful consideration in relation to the images selected for the book. Fortunately, Jaqui has spent several years working throughout the Middle East, as was able to guide the client and the ArmstrongQ team as to the nuances of this market.

As a marketing tool the book needed to work across a number of different countries and be an engaging, informative read. The extended soft cover format meant cost savings for Aspen in postage and handling, and made it easier for Aspen Medical team members to take multiple copies of the book with them on

The book was also used as part of tender submissions and presentations as well as gift to all Aspen employees on the evening of its 10th anniversary dinner.

We are, therefore delighted to hear that the founders of Aspen Medical were announced as the winners of the 2016 EY Entrepreneur of the Year a few weeks back.

Jaqui comments that:

‘Both Adrian and Glenn are passionate, driven and dynamic leaders, prepared to take risks. The team at Aspen Medical share their passion and have made a difference to the lives of many people around the world. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to spend time with Adrian, Glenn and the team and it might be that we need to update the book for their 15th anniversary in a few years.’
